Catastrophe Adjuster

Kernaghan Adjuster’s CAT Team is looking for service orientated and dependable all-lines adjusters to work in various locations in Canada during a catastrophe on an on-call basis.

Job Description

To provide adjusting expertise and quality assurance to Kernaghan Adjusters’ property, casualty, and specialty lines claims.  To provide customer service excellence by applying their highly efficient and sound adjusting practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Multi-line experience – property focus
• Licensed for all lines
• Minimum 5 years adjusting experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical abilities
• Preference will be given to individuals who have local experience and/or have working knowledge of the area where the catastrophe occurs
• Valid adjuster's license
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to travel on short notice and remain on location for extended periods  - subject to requirements of the CAT and the individual adjuster
• Must possess the necessary tools, e.g. ladder, laptop, camera, cell phone, etc., required for the assignment available.
• Ability to climb & be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of estimating software preferred
