Janet Velemirovich joined Kernaghan Adjusters in June of 2002, as a support staff member for our Thompson, Manitoba Branch. As an assistant to the adjusters she developed a keen interest in the process of adjusting and commenced her training almost immediately. Janet was fortunate to be mentored by some of Kernaghan Adjusters’ most experienced claims experts.

During her tenure with the company, Janet has gained considerable experience in the handling of various claims, including large commercial property losses and commercial general liability claims.

She currently holds a level 3 Adjusting license and is a member of the Insurance Institute of Manitoba. Education is foremost to Janet. She is presently completingcourses towards her CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation. Janet takes every opportunity to expand her adjusting knowledge through a variety of courses and learnings.

Janet believes in sound file management, in particular for her property claims. She has invested personal time to develop her skill set for property estimating. She uses Exactimate for property files where computerized estimates are required.

One of Janet’s strongest assets is her problem solving ability to deal with difficult situations and people. Her interpersonal skills benefit both Insureds and Insurers in bringing a quick resolution to the claims.

Janet is well-known in the market place as a trustworthy and accountable professional. She has proven herself to be a team player, which makes her a valuable asset to our Thompson, Manitoba office.
