KEA is Kernaghan Adjusters’ proprietary claims management system. It is our complete business solution using real time technology. KEA is an innovative web-based file management system that enables our adjusters across Canada to instantly review file handling wherever they are.  This leading edge technology enables us to process a higher volume of claims, while maintaining professional standards at a savings to our clients.

Our adjusters and staff access claim file information over the Internet with secure 128-bit encryption. The methodology used is Microsoft Distributed Internetworking Architecture, along with Visual Basic and Active Server Pages. All of this is compatible with software such as Access, Excel, and Crystal reports.

Our KEA technology allows us to monitor the following:

  • that all new claim assignments are acknowledged within twenty four hours
  • the reserve and payment activity on the file during the course of the claim
  • that claim reports are issued on time
  • the duration for which a file remains open
  • accuracy of time and expense tracking to ensure sound billing practices
  • the progress of the claim through the adjuster’s file notes
  • numerous quality control management reports

Through KEA, our clients will be able to access file notes, reports and claim file data elements, with notes on each file to further enhance our level of communication by year end 2005.
