Owen Watson BSc, CIP, Cert CII (London Market) Vice President BC Operations, is pleased to announce that Tara Passmore BA, CIP has joined the Kernaghan team in its Surrey, B.C. office.

Tara began her insurance career in 1999 with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. While working for ICBC as an adjuster, she handled automotive material damage, third party liability and property damage claims.  Her focus was on contentious liability and technical policy coverages.

Through progressively influential roles during her 20 years with ICBC, Tara developed a strong understanding of policy wordings and leadership. As a manager, she had the opportunity to build strong communication skills, identify key performers within the organization and lead in project management opportunities within a lean methodology framework. Collaboration and a passion for excellence were key drivers to her success. Tara’s comprehensive approach to loss investigation and a competent interpretation of policy language make her a key asset to the Kernaghan Team.

Tara values education and continuous learning. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice as well as a Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of BC.

As an individual that appreciates the outdoors, Tara has had exposure to boats, recreational vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles.
