Claims Adjuster

Toronto, ON

The successful candidate is an experienced all-lines adjuster who is committed to providing exceptional customer service. They will have superior interpersonal, team building and strong organizational skills with a commitment to quality and integrity. They will have the ability to work well independently.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Claims Adjuster:

  • Reporting to the Vice President of ON Operations
  • Attending or investigating claims on behalf of our principals to: assess damages, create scopes of repair, interview claimants and witnesses and create scene diagram
  • Reviewing policy wordings to determine coverage
  • Communicating findings of investigations in a detailed report format
  • Reviewing professional reports related to the claim; such as, engineering, accounting, legal or building consultant
  • Authorizing or denying coverage based on findings and instructions received from our principals
  • Negotiating settlements with insureds and/or claimants based on instructions received from our principals
  • Ensuring that claims are processed in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Investigating suspicious claims

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum one year adjusting experience
  • Active Ontario Adjuster License
  • CIP Designation, or working towards CIP Designation
  • Outstanding mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and OneNote
  • Experience and ability to navigate a claims management system
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
  • The ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

TPA Claims Adjuster

Remotely (Across Canada)

The successful candidate is an experienced adjuster with the ability to handle auto claims. You are both detail-oriented and organized, handling multiple files and tasks with ease. And, you take pride in your work and your ability to assist others. You will have the ability to work well independently.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a remote, work from home position.

As a Telephone Adjuster:

  • Securing telephone statements and details of damages from customers
  • Reviewing the claims process with customers and helping them submit required information.
  • Determining whether specific claims are covered and explaining why or why not.
  • Negotiating settlements, arranging payments, and finalizing claims.
  • Maintaining your training and industry knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Between 5-10 years adjusting experience
  • Auto claims experience
  • Insurance Adjuster Level 1 or 2 License or meet requirements to obtain a Level 1 or 2 license
  • CIP Designation, or working towards CIP Designation
  • Outstanding mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and OneNote
  • Experience and ability to navigate a claims management system
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
