Kernaghan Adjusters Wears Purple for World Mental Health Day

Kernaghan Adjusters came together in honour of World Mental Health Day on Thursday, October 10 to help raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.

World Mental Health Day was first celebrated in 1992 as an initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health and is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigmas surrounding mental illness.

According to the World Health Organization, every 40 seconds, someone loses their life to suicide. Today, the Kernaghan Team is wearing purple in support of World Mental Health Day and the Light Up Purple campaign begun by Carol Todd, who lost her daughter Amanda to suicide.

World Mental Health Day highlights the importance of creating more awareness and attention towards mental health, mental illness and mental wellness. We encourage you to take the initiative to talk to friends, family and colleagues about mental health and find ways to help support each other.
